Progress Update

Hi all
It's time for a brief update on the progress of the ICEBREAKER – the cool and easy way to make ice cubes.
Since last, the development team has been working hard on fixing the issues we learned from the feedback from the Test Pilots. We really have our hearts set on incorporating these improvements in order to give everybody the best possible ICEBREAKER experience.
The improvements include:
-Filling speed and feedback
-More visible lid direction arrows
-Better view of position indicator
-Support for correct mounting of gasket
-Trays pick up
-Release of the bottom tray
However, changes and improvements do take time. And at this moment, we cannot give a precise time schedule. We can, however, inform that July will be the month of production.
We know it has been a long road and we know that delays are never fun, but we believe in quality and we believe that you guys do too. We really cannot wait to send you your ICEBREAKERs!
We will get back to you as soon as we have an updated shipment date.

Test Pilot period ending soon!

Hi Pilot testers
Now we have soon ended the pilot test period, and we have already analyzed the first amount of feedback from you guys.
We want to thank you one more time for your interest in the ICEBREAKER.
IT IS GREAT FEEDBACK! We learned a lot..
Your feedback is a great help for us and we now know what issues to focus on in the development team. We have already started the improvement of the ICEBREAKER, and at the moment we are running very fast in order to reach our deadlines.
Based on the input we have received already, we are now working on the topics:
-Filling speed and feedback
-More visibel lid direction arrows
-Better view of position indicator
-Support for correct mounting of gasket
-Trays pick up
-Release of the bottom tray
-and others..
However, we want you to know that we appreciate all the feedback we can get. We can’t wait to read the feedback from all you pilot testers, who received your ICEBREAKER later than expected, because your feedback is as least as important as the feedback we already have.
As soon we have received the last feedback, we know where to put our effort and energy, an updated time schedule will follow.

We have served early ice cubes at the office daily now – to celebrate the early summer in Denmark �

The very first ICEBREAKER shipment!

Dear All,
Today we finally did it! We had a great team event at the distribution center. We replaced some parts and repacked every single Pilot Test product, and now we have shipped the first 200 Test Pilot units. Yehaa… ☺
The test pilot period starts today and runs until May 14th, where we urge all the Pilot Testers to make their feedback and help us gather a lot of valuable information in order to improve the final product. Today all test pilots will receive a separate mail with more information as well.
Once this test period is over, we will provide a status update for the next and final ICEBREAKER build for all backers. For now, we plan to build the next units in early June.

Test Pilot shipment update

Hello patient Test Pilots
Great news! We have now landed the 200 Test Pilot ICEBREAKER's here in Denmark, the bad news is that we decided that they would need a very small rework, in order to perform as we want. The missing part is already shipped from China, and is expected to arrive here in Denmark on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Team ICEBREAKER will be reworking the units, and together with UPS, we will be shipping on Wednesday as well.
We will update you when shipped!

In Production

Hi all,
Gues what – the Pilot Test build are now in production!
We have just returned from 11 hectic days in China, where we managed to set every thing up. We did an initial pre-build for test, before we pushed the big button.
So now the schedule look like this;
- Shipping of 200 Test Pilot ICEBREAKERs on April 21 from China to Denmark
- Arrival Monday April 26th , re-distributed on April 28th
- Arrival at Kickstater backers from April 29th to may 2nd expected.
We are very happy to finally being at this stage, and we are very happy that some of you have chosen to participate this early testing of the very fist ICEBREAKERs.
Our hope is to get your feedback with in 2 phases. Initial and most important feedback after 3 days, and final feedback within 14 days. More on how to perform the review and feedback is given in the package you receive.
For the final build, for all of our remaining backers, that stays on schedule, with shipping mid June from China, arriving at backers by end june.
All the Pilot Test backers should as well receive closing up email request from BACKERKIT, with the possibility of updating shipping address and add-on orders. Shortly, we will close down all the other orders as well, asking for your color selection. Please respond to this request asap, so we can start shipping asap.
So, getting there ..
